We often get phone calls and emails from artists and artists’ representatives asking how they can get involved with CSU Summer Arts or how they can book a performance in our season.
All of our performances and lectures are tied to the coursework that we are offering in a given season. For example, an artist will have been invited to teach a class and then, in many cases, will also give a public event as part of his or her residency.
Summer Arts does not present public events by artists who are not linked to the educational aspect of the program.
If an artist is interested in working with us as a resident instructor for a course, the artist should make a connection with a current CSU faculty member.
Contact the faculty member and encourage him/her to propose a course featuring your work. Have the faculty member read the Coordinators information on our website and send us an email expressing interest in coordinating a course.
We look forward to meeting you!
