Advocating for Students on the Hill
February 14, 2014
On February 26, Chancellor White will lead a group of CSU trustees, campus presidents and other CSU leaders to promote systemwide priorities in Washington, D.C. The group will meet with key Congressional leaders and Obama administration officials to thank them for investing in CSU students, institutions and research; highlight CSU initiatives on student achievement and degree completion; and advocate for CSU priorities related to student aid, college access and completion, workforce preparation and applied research. The group will also engage in a dialogue with Acting Under Secretary Jamie Studley, who is spearheading the Education Department’s efforts to create a ratings scheme for colleges and universities.
