CSU Celebrates Media Arts

The best student work in film, video and new media from throughout the CSU was presented at the CSU Summer Arts 23rd Annual Media Arts Festival at CSU Fullerton Nov. 9.

The works of 31 finalists in nine categories were selected by CSU professors and industry leaders for festival screening in this year’s statewide competition, which was sponsored by DreamWorks Animation.

Over 200 people attended the screening, which included a keynote presentation by director Donald Petrie, whose films include “Miss Congeniality” and “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.”

CSU Summer Arts established the Media Arts Festival in 1991 to give students studying film, video, and interactive media an opportunity to present their work for critical review. Since then, more than 3,000 students have participated in the festival.
