KOFY TV Internship | Northern California

The Bay Area’s KOFY-TV20 offers an Internship Program designed for students interested in gaining exposure and experience to the Broadcasting Industry. Internships are active throughout the year offered during the Spring (Jan-May), Summer (June-Aug), and Fall (Sept-Dec). All Internships are unpaid and students must earn college credits by enrolling in an Internship class.

Want to be a part of a talented Bay Area Promotions/Marketing & Production department? KOFY TV20 is looking for Fall 2013 interns to get in on all the fun. We need all hands on deck! It’s your chance to assist in the production of local programming like Creepy KOFY Movie Time, Dance Party, Man on the Street hits, hosted programming and much more. From running camera, the teleprompter, floor directing, assisting editor and producers, it’s your chance to really get your feet wet and your hands dirty. We’re also really into promotions so be prepared for a little fun and games, wacky giveaways, thinking out-side of the box, viewer interactions, prize fulfillment and more. And one last thing… if you’re a savvy social media guru let us know. We want you to help us spread the word about KOFY TV through Facebook, Twitter, blogs and more! It’s the internship of a lifetime and a chance to feel a part of a team! No picking up dry cleaning or getting coffee. We get our own!

Learn firsthand how a television Sales Department functions by being involved in the various aspects of this department. Some of the duties include assist with posting schedules, check contracts, assemble media kits, maintain client database, attend sales training/meetings, and assist with sales promotion events.

• Students must be enrolled at a four-year or junior college.
• Students must be in junior or senior standing.
• Students must be able to intern a complete semester term.
• Students must be able to satisfy an average of 15 hours per week.
• Provide letter of participation in an internship class from your college advisor/professor.
• Every effort will be made to arrange hours around student’s class schedule.
